Dr. Amanda L. Lynn Messina is a board-certified general surgeon with many years of experience performing bariatric, colon, and rectal surgeries, in addition to doing minimally invasive techniques. Her practice is located in Katonah, New York, where she provides comprehensive surgical care for patients who come to her from all over the region to receive services at Northern Westchester Hospital.
Dr. Messina graduated from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University with her degree of Doctor of Medicine in 2003, then completed her surgical residency at New York University School of Medicine from 2003 to 2008, during which she received additional training in general and minimally invasive surgery.
Dr. Messina is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and licensed to practice medicine in New York State. She is also recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), which reflects a commitment to excellence regarding surgical standards, ethics, and care for patients. With more than 20 years of clinical experience as a specialist in surgery for patients who are obese, Dr. Messina provides two types of surgical interventions (bariatric and minimally invasive) for patients who may have complications involving their colon and rectum.
