Dr. Ann Yih-Ann Chung is a Board-Certified General Surgeon and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). She is highly regarded for her advanced skills and training in minimally invasive and gastrointestinal surgeries with a focus on patient-centered care, evidence-based practice, and high-quality patient outcomes. Dr. Chung graduated from Eastern Virginia Medical School with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree and completed a General Surgery residency at Vidant Medical Center (ECU Health). During this time, she gained extensive training and surgical experience in laparoscopic and abdominal surgery.
Dr. Chung is a devoted provider of patient-centered, evidence-based, and high-quality health care by serving a diverse population with a wide range of surgical conditions, including hernia repairs, gallbladder disease, appendicitis, and various other digestive tract diseases. She utilizes her training in minimally invasive techniques to perform surgical procedures using smaller skin incisions, shorter recovery times, and improved surgical outcomes.
