About Dr. Anthony W. Boutt

Dr. Anthony W. Boutt is a board-certified general surgeon who is highly experienced in bariatric surgery, laparoscopic surgery, and robotic-assisted surgery. He received his Doctor of Medicine from Wayne State University School of Medicine and afterward, completed his residency in general surgery at St. John Hospital and Medical Center (Henry Ford St. John Hospital) in Detroit. During his residency, he focused on perfecting new minimally invasive surgical techniques.

Recently, most of Dr. Boutt’s work has been targeted at laparoscopic gastric sleeve surgery, laparoscopic gastric band procedures, and endoscopic surgery. That way, he can provide patients with different ways to undergo weight loss that are both effective and long-lasting. Moreover, he is skilled in da Vinci robotic-assisted surgery, which is the use of state-of-the-art surgical robotic technology to perform surgery with enhanced accuracy, shortened healing time, and better overall results for patients. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Surgery, meaning that Dr. Boutt continuously stays abreast with the latest advancements to serve his patients effectively and safely.
