About Dr. Alejandro Gutierrez, MD

Dr. Alejandro Gutiérrez is a very reputable bariatric surgeon (Tijuana, Mexico) who is known for performing more advanced procedures than any other surgeon. He has earned the nickname of “Super Surgeon” due to having performed both complex bariatric surgeries, such as duodenal switches and revision surgeries (for patients who previously had weight loss surgeries). Due to his extensive surgical experience, his technically precise surgery, and his caring patient management style, he has developed a strong reputation as one of the best possible choices for patients trying to achieve significant and long-term weight loss.

Having accomplished over 6,500 bariatric surgeries as of 2025, he has developed considerable experience in helping to achieve successful and long-term weight loss for all of his patients.
