About Dr. Arturo Valenzuela, MD

Dr. Arturo Valenzuela, MD, is a general surgeon with Board Certification in the field. He specializes in Bariatric Surgery and has extensive knowledge of the Minimally Invasive Surgical techniques that exist today. After graduating from medical school at the Autonomous University of Guadalajara, he completed his Internship in General Surgery at the General Hospital of Ciudad Juárez, Mexico and continued with Advanced Specialty Training in General Surgery at the Dr. Manuel Gea González Hospital, which is widely recognized as one of the premier training institutions for surgeons due to its excellence in Surgical Education and Research.

With over 10 years of surgical experience, Dr. Valenzuela has become an expert in Laparoscopic/Bariatric Procedures for effective management of long-term weight loss and improvement of overall health. His clinical areas of interest include Gastric Sleeve Surgery, Gastric Bypass Surgery and Minimally Invasive Surgical Procedures designed to provide safer surgical interventions, decrease recovery time after surgery and provide better patient outcomes.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Valenzuela has also been an Anatomy Professor, exemplifying his commitment to the advancement of Medical Education through the continued development of future surgeons.
