Bio

Dr. Hector Joaquin Perez Corzo is a highly respected bariatric and metabolic surgeon with more than two decades of medical tourism experience and over 10,000 successful weight loss procedures performed. He earned his medical degree from La Salle University in Mexico City and completed his medical internship at Jackson Memorial Hospital through the University of Miami. Dr. Perez went on to complete his General Surgery Residency at the Regional Hospital Lic. Adolfo López Mateos ISSSTE, graduating with honors through the National Autonomous University of Mexico.

Dr. Perez expertise spans gastric sleeve, gastric bypass, mini-gastric bypass, TORe, endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty (ESG), gastric balloon and revisional bariatric procedures.

Known for his calm bedside manner, technical precision, and fluency in both English and Spanish, Dr. Perez combines advanced surgical training with a patient-centered, compassionate approach. Today he serves as one of Renew Bariatrics’ lead surgeons, providing world-class bariatric care to patients from the United States, Canada, and beyond.
