Dr. Amanda Parker is a microsurgery specialist who has practised medicine for over 15 years and is a board-certified surgical specialist. Dr. Parker specializes in performing minimally invasive surgery and providing patient-care centred services that improve patients’ quality of life through advanced treatment options.
Dr. Parker graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with an undergraduate degree in medicine. She earned her MD at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. After graduating, Dr. Parker completed her General Surgeon residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. To further her education and skills, Dr. Parker completed her Fellowship training in Minimally Invasive Surgery and Bariatric Surgery from The Methodist Hospital at Houston Medical Center.
Dr. Amanda Parker holds certification by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). She is also a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES), and is on several professional boards committed to improving health care both locally and nationally/internationally.
