About Andrew L. Weinstein, MD

Dr. Andrew Weinstein is a plastic surgeon who specializes in aesthetic surgery on all parts of the body, including facial rejuvenation, and has received board certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He uses a combination of excellent surgical skills and an eye for beauty to create naturally-looking results that fit the specific needs of his patients.

Dr. Weinstein was born in New York City and received his undergraduate education at Cornell University, graduating with high honors (summa cum laude) before obtaining his Doctor of Medicine degree with distinction from NYU School of Medicine. He completed a six-year residency program in plastic surgery at both Weill Cornell and Columbia University Medical Centers; during this time, he was appointed Administrative Chief Resident. After completing this training, he went on to complete an advanced fellowship in aesthetic surgery at Emory University, mentored by Dr. Foad Nahai, who is known for training surgeons in minimally invasive cosmetic surgery techniques.

Dr. Weinstein has held several academic positions, including Clinical Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery and Co-Director of Aesthetic Surgery at Weill Cornell’s Medical College. In addition to his academic accomplishments, he also holds Fellow status with the American College of Surgeons; is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons; has been recognized multiple times by Castle Connolly as among the Top Doctors and Super Doctors of the year; and has published extensively as an accomplished researcher. Dr. Weinstein has authored more than 40 chapters in surgical textbooks and has written several peer-reviewed articles describing his work in breast reconstructive surgery, cosmetic surgery, and innovative techniques in body reshaping (abdominoplasty or “tummy tuck”) surgery.
