About Ashley Chandler, MD

Dr. Ashley Chandler is a professional plastic surgeon with specialized training in both reconstructive and aesthetic surgery and is board-certified through ABPS. She was inspired to pursue a career in Medicine early on in her life when she would go to work with her father, who is an orthopedic surgeon.

Dr. Chandler attended FSU through a full-ride scholarship as an undergraduate, graduating with honors (summa cum laude), earning a Bachelor of Science degree with a double minor (Biology and Chemistry) from the Exercise Physiology program at FSU. While at FSU, she worked in a neuroscience research lab, specifically studying how estrogens impact metabolism. Afterward, Dr. Chandler continued her education at FSU’s College of Medicine, where she developed a strong interest in breast reconstruction and restoring confidence to women affected by breast cancer. Upon completing Medical School, Dr. Chandler earned the highest possible grade in her class and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.

After completing her Medical Degree, Dr. Chandler completed a General Surgery Internship at the Virginia Tech – Carilion Clinic and was then accepted into an Integrated, 6-year Plastic Surgery Residency at Northwell Health in New York. She completed her training by completing a fellowship in aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Dr. Chandler is now a surgeon on staff at Charlotte Plastic Surgery.
