About Austin Hayes, MD

Dr. Austin Hayes, MD, is an experienced and certified plastic surgeon with fellowship training located in Portland, OR. Being originally from Portland himself, Dr. Hayes offers a unique perspective that blends his technical precision with a focus on the individual needs of each patient to create natural, appealing surgical results. His areas of clinical expertise include augmentation and lift/reduction of the breasts; labiaplasty procedures; body contouring; and abdominoplasty. He has also completed additional specialized training in both hand and upper extremity surgery and microvascular techniques for breast reconstruction.

Dr. Hayes graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science degree in General Science. He then went on to earn his M.D. from Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City, where his academic excellence led to his membership in the AOA (Alpha Omega Alpha) Honor Medical Society. He completed his residency training in General Surgery and Plastic Surgery at the University of Washington, serving as Chief Resident in Plastic Surgery prior to completing a fellowship in Hand/Upper Extremity Surgery at The Curtis National Hand Center in Baltimore, MD.

After finishing his fellowship in 2014, Dr. Hayes returned to Portland and has built an impressive practice treating patients from all over the Northwestern United States and Canada, as well as several other countries worldwide. Dr. Hayes has gained recognition as a RealSelf Top Doctor.
