Dr. Amanda Nelson, an aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgeon, is based in Bend, Oregon. In 2018, she returned to her hometown to join Northwest Cosmetic Surgery; after the retirement of Dr. Gary Gallagher in 2019, Dr. Amanda Nelson led the team at Northwest Cosmetic Surgery & has continued to foster the practice’s reputation for excellence as the new owner.
Dr. Nelson takes an artistic and precise approach to all her surgeries, providing natural, subtle results that reverse the signs of aging, prolonged sun exposure, and tremendous stress from busy lives. She has developed an expertise in the areas of advanced aesthetic surgical procedures on the face, breast, and body, and provides non-surgical methods to enhance the appearance of your skin and overall health.
Dr. Nelson is a board-certified plastic surgeon by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the Aesthetic Society Patient Safety Committee. Additionally, she is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, a contributing member of the Nicaplast Foundation, and the Director of Plastic Surgery at St. Charles Hospital.
Dr. Nelson completed her training at the Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship of Los Angeles, received her integrated plastic surgery residency from the University of Wisconsin, and earned her medical degree from the University of Washington with honors as an Alpha Omega Alpha and was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
In addition to being a busy mother of a toddler, Dr. Nelson enjoys hiking, practicing yoga, preparing meals, and exploring Bend’s parks and trails. She finds joy in nature and appreciates being part of this unique community.
