About Albert R. Harris, MD

Dr. Harris is a plastic and hand surgeon who holds board certification, along with practice privileges at Mayo Clinic Health System-Mankato. After receiving his MD at the University of Michigan Medical School, Dr. Harris has over 20 years of clinical experience.

Dr. Harris completed residencies in General Surgery and Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at Rhode Island Hospital, along with a Hand Surgery Fellowship at the Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education. Dr. Harris is board-certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery in Hand Surgery.

Dr. Harris has clinical experience managing breast reconstruction after mastectomy, performing surgery on hand and wrist conditions associated with the treatment of complex issues from arthritis and trauma. His practice combines a high level of surgical expertise while remaining focused on the patient, working to ensure the best functional and aesthetic result.

Dr. Harris is an Instructor in Plastic Surgery at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science and participates in several professional affiliations, including the American Association of Hand Surgery, American Society for Surgery of the Hand, and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
