About Alexander P. Moya, MD

Alexander P. Moya, MD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon who focuses on cosmetic and aesthetic surgery of the face and body. He believes in lifelong education and is involved in the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) Maintenance of Certification Program™ for Plastic Surgery as part of his commitment to improving patient care and clinical outcomes. Dr. Moya is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), and International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS).

Dr. Moya hails from Northern Virginia, where he completed his undergraduate degree at Virginia Tech with honors, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then had the honor of graduating from Georgetown University School of Medicine. After completing an internship and general surgery residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center of Greater Miami, Dr. Moya completed a fellowship in plastic surgery at the University of Utah.

Dr. Moya initiated his journey with Geisinger Health System in 2002 and established its weight loss body contouring program, and subsequently served as the director of the Geisinger Center for Aesthetics and Cosmetic Surgery. Since 2016, Dr. Moya has practiced entirely cosmetic surgery at Lewisburg Plastic Surgery & Dermatology, providing all-encompassing aesthetic procedures. He is best known for his advanced body contouring approaches relying on his Corset Body Lift® technique, focused on optimizing waistline sculpting and varying patient outcomes.
