Dr. Ashraf Metwally (MBBCh) is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon in Cairo, Egypt, who specializes in the aesthetics and function of surgery. His medical education began at Zagazig University, where he completed his Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBCh) degree, which provides the basis for his surgical career. To further enhance his knowledge in the field of surgery, he obtained a Master’s Degree in General Surgery and a Doctorate Degree (M.D.) in Surgery from Ain Shams University, with extensive surgical training along with many advanced surgical techniques.
Dr. Metwally completed his specialized training as a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with the General Organization for Teaching Hospitals and Institutes located in Cairo, focusing primarily on the following: facial reconstructive procedures, breast reconstructive procedures, and body contouring procedures. In addition to his training, he has completed the Diplomate of the International Master Course on Aging Skin (IMCAS) and has been awarded the prestigious title of Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).
Dr. Metwally is an active member of the Egyptian Society for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (ESPRS), he is involved with the global IMCAS community, and is continually updating his knowledge and techniques regarding the newest advancements in all aspects of plastic surgery. He is able to combine technical precision and a patient-centered philosophy with a focus on safety, natural results, and individualized care in order to assist his patients in achieving their reconstructive and aesthetic surgery needs.
