About Ahmet Harun Simsek, MD

Dr. Ahmet Harun Simsek is a Turkish plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgeon who was born in 1982. He is a well-regarded surgeon and innovator of techniques. Dr. Simsek completed his medical education at Izmir Dokuz Eylul University, Faculty of Medicine (2000-2007), and with the completion of his specialization in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Akdeniz University (2007-2012).

During residency, he participated in many historical accomplishments in surgery in Turkey, including the first face transplant in Turkey, the first double arm transplant, and the world’s first uterine transplant in collaboration with Prof. Omer Ozkan, MD. This journey was instrumental in developing Dr. Simsek’s surgical capability and also excited his passion and innovative spirit for advancing the field of aesthetic and reconstructive surgery.

After finishing his surgical training as a plastic surgeon, Dr. Simsek was an attending at Adana Numune Training and Research Hospital (2013-2015) prior to working as a plastic surgeon at Antalya Memorial and Antalya Medstar Hospitals (2015-2018). In 2018, he opened his private practice clinic in Antalya and has been assisting patients with their aesthetic needs ever since.

Dr. Simsek enjoys the aesthetics of the breast, rhinoplasty, body contouring, breast reconstruction and non-surgical facial rejuvenation. Outside of medicine, Dr. Simsek loves scuba diving, basketball, playing the drums rate and travel, providing an interesting, well-rounded perspective of the world.
