About Aydin Gozu, MD

Dr. Aydin Gozi, MD, is a well-established plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgeon located in Istanbul, Turkey, who has amassed extensive experience over many years through a multitude of academic and clinical avenues. Born in Antakya, Dr. Gozi attended primary and secondary school in Samsun, followed by attending Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, where he received his medical degree. After fulfilling his health care obligation to the Turkish Military, he completed the Medical Specialization Examination (TUS) and began the specialty training program, Aesthetic, Plastic, and Reconstructive Surgery at Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital, where he honed his surgical skill set, with an emphasis on the specialty of reconstructive and microsurgical repairs of the hand.

As part of his training, Dr. Gozi built upon his international training by completing a variety of advanced surgical training programs in Tours, France, at François Rabelais University and an aesthetic plastic surgery program in Paris. Additionally, he completed a craniofacial surgery rotation at Ege University Faculty of Medicine. He continued to build his experience after training and was the Chief Resident at Vakıf Gureba Hospital from 1999 to 2010, during which time he continued to contribute to the academic and scientific literature. In 2003, he attended Virginia Arlington Hospital in Washington, DC, to further increase his expertise in the area of Aesthetic Surgery.

In 2011, Dr. Gozi was appointed to the position of Associate Professor and in 2016, he was promoted to the rank of Full Professor. In addition to his specialty in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Dr. Gozi has subspecialties in Hand Surgery and Surgery of the Oral, Facial and Maxillofacial Areas. He is an active member of many of the world’s leading national and international surgical organizations. At this time, Dr. Gozi continues his active practice.
