About Ayse Kalay, MD

Dr. Ayşe Kalay has received extensive training and clinical applications in the field of plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. She was born in Ünye on August 8, 1987. After her primary education in her hometown, Dr Kalay completed her medical education (English program) at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, graduating in 2011. In 2017, she completed her residency in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine, obtaining Board Certification.

From 2017-2021, after obtaining her Board Certification, Dr. Kalay treated patients within various state hospitals located in İskenderun. From 2021 until December 2022, she was employed at Istanbul Erdem Hospital. Dr Kalay has continued her commitment to ongoing education by actively seeking to update her knowledge and skills in plastic surgery.

Dr. Kalay has further developed her skills by participating in multiple national and international courses, including a microsurgery course at University Hospital Zurich, as well as cadaver-based courses focused on rhinoplasty, facelift and temporal lift techniques. In addition, Dr. Kalay has contributed to the academic literature regarding Plastic Surgery through several publications appearing in peer-reviewed journals such as the European Journal of Plastic Surgery and the Journal of Uludağ University Medical Faculty.

Dr. Kalay is an active member of the Turkish Medical Association and Turkish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, as well as other organizations promoting education within her specialty; she serves as a resource for those seeking knowledge and guidance in the field of Plastic Surgery.
