About Asude Koksal, MD

Dr. Asude Koksal has extensive clinical and research experience in plastic surgery, reconstructive surgery, and aesthetic (cosmetic) surgery. Originally from Nevsehir (Turkey), she graduated from Gazi University’s School of Medicine in Ankara, Turkey, and completed her specialty training in plastic surgery at Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital.

Dr. Koksal has worked at various academic medical centers and private practices throughout her career. These include: Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital, Dumlupınar University Evliya Celebi Training and Research Hospital and Özkaya Private Medical Center in Ankara. She performs all types of surgical and non-surgical aesthetic services (facial/skin/leg/foot) as well as reconstructive surgery on breasts (female breast) /Face + Extremities.

In addition to her clinical experience, Dr. Koksal has been involved in research and academia since she began her training. A notable research project that demonstrates this involvement was a thesis she completed regarding the effects of dabigatran on blood flow to a surgical flap using a model of venous occlusion. This reflects Dr. Koksal’s passion for furthering the field of reconstructive surgery. Dr. Koksal has also published articles in peer-reviewed journals regarding breast reduction techniques, hand reconstruction, necrotising soft tissue infections, and chest wall reconstruction.

Dr. Koksal has also completed numerous continuing medical education activities (CMEs) both nationally and internationally in the areas of aesthetic plastic surgery, rhinoplasty, microsurgery (hand), breast, aesthetics of the face, and reconstruction of the hand. She has also kept her practice up-to-date by integrating new surgical techniques and developments into her surgical practice.
