About Afet Oncel Bozkurt, MD, FEBOPRAS

Dr. Afet Öncel Bozkurt, who was born in Kayseri in 1984, is a Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic surgeon with more than 10 years of experience and over 1,000 successful operations. Dr. Bozkurt graduated from Erciyes University, Faculty of Medicine, in 2007 as the second-best student and began her specialization in 2008 in the plastic and reconstructive surgery specialty at Istanbul Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital.

In 2013, Dr. Bozkurt raised her expertise to a new level as an International Fellow in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Clinic at Northwestern University in the City of Chicago, United States of America. Dr. Bozkurt’s thesis regarding the effects of rich platelet plasma (PRP) on capsule formation around silicone prostheses paved her scientific legitimacy in the field of aesthetic surgery.

In 2014, Dr. Bozkurt’s excellence in the medical profession was confirmed when she was granted the prestigious European Board Certificate (EBOPRAS) after she completed a high volume of theoretical and practical examinations held in Brussels and Helsinki. This qualification represents Dr. Bozkurt’s surgical qualifications throughout Europe.

After serving with honor in Kars State Hospital, she served at Istanbul Central Hospital, but chose to open her own private clinic in October of 2018. Dr. Buziurt still practices in Acıbadem Hospital and Central Hospital and continues her success with reconstructive and aesthetic surgery.
