About Ameya Chumble, MD

Dr. Ameya Chumble holds a board-eligible plastic and reconstructive surgeon position at Northland Plastic Surgery. He was born in Martinsville, Virginia. He completed his undergraduate degree in Biology and a B.A. in Spanish at Virginia Commonwealth University and graduated with honors. He graduated from the Medical College of Virginia and was recognized as a member of the graduating class. He completed his plastic surgery residency at the University of Missouri-Columbia, where he performed more than 3400 surgeries, which was more than double the minimum required to graduate. His primary areas of clinical interest are facial aesthetics, post-pregnancy body sculpting, breast surgery, and revision surgeries. He utilizes a combination of his precise technical skills and a focus on patient-centered care that emphasizes patient input throughout the decision-making process, patient education, and the development of treatment plans tailored to the individual patient. He has an extensive understanding of the current trends in aesthetic surgery and assists his patients in identifying safe, effective surgical interventions compared to transient trends as seen on social media.

Dr. Chumble also participates in research focusing on breast reconstruction complications, reducing bleeding in pediatric surgeries and improving the quality of care. He has a variety of personal interests separated from his medical practice, including hiking, fishing, flying, clay target shooting/cooking/traveling and stewardship for animal and environmental causes. Dr. Chumble’s goal is to provide each individual patient with a personalized experience, tailored specifically to their personal goals and needs.
