Dr. Ashley Steinberg is a certified plastic surgeon and also the owner of Trouvaille Aesthetics & Plastic Surgery located in Houston, Texas. She originally comes from Brooklyn, New York, and completed her educational training all over North America, having gained broad experience during her clinical work. As a child, Dr. Steinberg was interested in becoming a plastic surgeon, and that passion continued to grow and strengthen as she shadowed a plastic surgeon while in Canada, which ultimately led to her attending Medical School to study plastic surgery.
To complete her undergraduate studies, Dr. Steinberg resided in London, England and Windsor, Ontario, and then she attended St. George’s University to earn her M.D. degree magna cum laude. Dr. Steinberg completed residency training in general surgery while living in both New York State and Nevada. In those two locations, she was able to work with people of many different backgrounds, including children and trauma patients, in addition to practicing surgical techniques in the field of general oncology.
After Dr. Steinberg finished her residency in general surgery, she went on to complete an advanced fellowship in plastic surgery at Houston Methodist Hospital, which is located in the Texas Medical Center, the largest medical center in the world. This fellowship included training in the areas of microsurgery, aesthetic surgery, craniofacial surgery, and hand surgery.
Today, Dr. Steinberg is committed to providing her patients with access to comprehensive plastic surgical care, as well as offering aesthetic surgeries, breast reconstruction, and general reconstruction of the upper extremity (i.e., hand). Dr. Steinberg is also very involved in the education of other physicians by actively participating in mentoring residents in plastic surgery, as well as participating in “call” (i.e., when a physician provides care to patients on an emergency basis) around Houston. Dr. Steinberg has established a reputation in the community for providing compassionate care and for being a leader in the field of plastic surgery.
