About Andrew P. Trussler, MD

MD Andrew Trussler is a board-certified plastic surgeon located in Austin, Texas, with an emphasis on providing an honest patient-centered approach to the field, which is often filled with overwhelming choices. He emphasizes the total safety and clarity of procedures and the need for realistic expectations, and strives to help each patient understand what actually works for their goals. He has specialized in cosmetic surgery and is mentioned in the Consumer’s Research Council Guide to America’s Top Surgeons and Marquis Who’s Who in the United States. He has received multiple awards for his scientific contributions, has lectured internationally, and has authored numerous manuscripts and book chapters.

Dr. Trussler completed his undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology at the University of Southern California, graduating Cum Laude, and was an All-American varsity swimmer. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Keck School of Medicine at USC and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He completed his General Surgery Residency at the University of Michigan, then completed Plastic Surgery Residency at UCLA, followed by an Aesthetic Fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.

Before he moved to Austin, Dr. Trussler was an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Southwestern and was the Director of Major Cosmetic Training Programs. Dr. Trussler currently lives in Austin with his family.
