Dr. Alan Zaccaria is a New Jersey-licensed, board-certified plastic surgeon with dual board-certification in both plastic surgery and general surgery and decades of experience in both reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. Dr. Zaccaria is proud to be a New Jersey native who received his medical degree from UMDNJ—Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and did residencies in both general surgery and plastic surgery. He has been in solo private practice since 1993 and is known for his excellence in patient-centered care.
Dr. Zaccaria performs aesthetic facial surgery, breast surgery, body contouring, eyelid surgery, craniofacial surgery, general reconstructive surgery, and non-surgical aesthetic procedures. He also offers comprehensive wound care. He applies advanced surgical techniques along with an individualized treatment plan to accomplish balanced, natural results for each patient.
His medical knowledge and leadership have been widely acknowledged: he was the former Chief of Plastic Surgery from 2003 to 2008, Chief of Staff from 2006 to 2008 for Jersey Shore University Medical Center, and served as the President of the Monmouth County Medical Society from 2002 to 2005. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is a life member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He has received numerous honors, including Top Doctor in NJ and the title of Best Plastic Surgeon in Monmouth County.
Doctor Zaccaria currently serves as a Physician Advisor for case management and utilization at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where he remains dedicated to patient safety, quality outcomes, and surgical excellence.
