About A.K. Bhattacharya, MD, FACS

Dr. A.K. Bhattacharya, MD, FACS, is a double board-certified plastic surgeon from Freehold, New Jersey. Dr. Bhattacharya is respected for his precision in the operating room, his academic accomplishments, and his compassion for his patients. Trust and communication between the doctor and the patient are the pillars of his work in order to achieve the patient’s goals and expectations.

Dr. Bhattacharya graduated from UMDNJ–New Jersey Medical School in New Jersey and completed the surgical training program at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). He also trained in plastic surgery at the State University of New York (SUNY). Furthermore, he underwent advanced training in cosmetic surgery of the face and body with renowned surgeons, including breast augmentation, rhinoplasty, abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), and liposuction.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Bhattacharya has been an Assistant Professor at SUNY and a Clinical Instructor at UMDNJ. He has also dedicated work in global outreach in performing charitable reconstructive surgery abroad, including cleft lip repair.

Dr. Bhattacharya is currently an affiliated plastic surgeon to CentraState Medical Center and SurgiCare of Freehold, where he is committed to providing innovative surgical and patient care.
