With more than 20 years of experience, Dr. Andrew Baertsch has attained Board Certification as a Plastic Surgeon. As an expert in the field of Reconstructive and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Dr. Baertsch works at Aspirus St. Luke’s Hospital, Essentia Health-Duluth and Lakewalk Surgery Center. A well-respected figure within the community, Dr. Baertsch is known for his Patient-Centered approach and has received numerous high recommendations for his compassion, expertise and attention to detail from his patients.
After receiving his Medical Degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Dr. Baertsch completed his General Surgery Residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics and then completed an Integrated Plastic Surgery Residency at the same facility. He obtained Board Certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is currently licensed to practice medicine in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and formerly in Illinois.
In addition to creating numerous articles regarding advances in Microscopic Surgery and Upper Extremity Reconstruction, Dr. Baertsch has devoted a significant part of his Career to the advancement of the field of Microsurgery. He is a member of the American Society for Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and continues to maintain a commitment to provide the highest level of care and remain on the cutting edge of research in the field of Plastic and Reconstructive surgery through his association with ASPS.
