About Anselm Wong, MD

Dr. Anselm Wong, MD, is a skilled hand surgeon located in Worcester, Massachusetts. He is periodically board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery in the specialty of plastic surgery. Dr. Wong has significant experience with both functional and reconstructive surgeries of the hand and upper extremity, which is a result of the strong foundation of his education and training in plastic surgery.

Dr. Wong graduated from SUNY Upstate Medical University in 2004 with a Doctor of Medicine degree and completed a transitional internship at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Following his internship, Dr. Wong completed a surgical residency in general surgery at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center and then completed advanced training in hand surgery during his fellowship at the University of Connecticut and an integrated plastic surgery residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Health System.

Dr. Wong holds board certification in all aspects of his practice and is currently licensed to practice in Massachusetts. Dr. Wong is an active member of the following professional societies: American Society for Surgery of the Hand, American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and New England Hand Society.

Along with his clinical practice, Dr. Wong has authored articles in peer-reviewed medical journals and has published original research in the Aesthetic Surgery Journal. In his practice, Dr. Wong utilizes precise surgical technique, patient education, and individualized care to return function and enhance the quality of life for his patients.
