About Armin Moshyedi, MD

Dr. Armin Moshyedi is a board-certified plastic surgeon who has practiced cosmetic surgery for 25 years at AirSculpt. One of his areas of specialty is minimally invasive liposuction, which involves using advanced surgical techniques that allow him to remove excess fat through small incisions (the size of a pencil eraser) that produce very small, almost invisible, scars afterwards. This procedure is designed to create the illusion that the patient has a naturally occurring skin lesion or blotch. In addition to being a highly regarded plastic surgeon, Dr. Moshyedi has also undertaken significant scientific research throughout his career.

Dr. Moshyedi began his academic career as a research assistant in the Division of Neurosurgery at the University of Maryland and continued on to serve in a similar role as a medical fellow at the University of Florida College of Medicine. He has published numerous papers in multiple peer-reviewed medical journals, including Breast Disease, the American Journal of Physiology, and the Journal of Infection and Immunity. He has presented at many national and international medical organizations, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Alabama Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, and the Annual Cancer Symposium for the Society of Surgical Oncology.

Dr. Moshyedi has received many awards in recognition of his excellence in his field, including the Pennsylvania Club Award from the University of Pennsylvania, the Hans R. Wilhelmsen Prize from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, and the Edward R. Woodward Surgical Resident Award from the University of Florida College of Medicine. In addition to his impressive achievements, Dr. Moshyedi is also a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the National Capital Region Dermatologic Society.
