About Alexander M. Sailon, MD

Alexander M. Sailon, MD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon who practices in Virginia Beach, specializing in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, breast, and body. He is noted for his warm and patient-centered approach and his desire to achieve natural, aesthetically balanced results. Dr. Sailon views plastic surgery as a process involving the medical professional and the patient working together, ensuring to take the time to understand the patient’s individualized goals.

A native of New Jersey and New York, Dr. Sailon attended the Horace Mann School and graduated cum laude from Georgetown University. He earned his medical degree at New Jersey Medical School, where he was elected to the distinguished Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. His residency included an integrated plastic surgery residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, where he trained alongside some of the best Manhattan surgeons in reconstructive and cosmetic surgery.

An enthusiast of global health, Dr. Sailon was a fellow at Operation Smile, where he performed cleft and craniofacial surgery on hundreds of children around the world. He has written or co-written more than 30 peer-reviewed articles and frequently presents work at national and international plastic surgery meetings.

Dr. Sailon is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. He lives in Virginia Beach with his wife, Jordi, and he continues to engage in charitable work, helping children in need.
