About Alison Shore, MD

Dr. Alison Shore, MD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon in Chicago who specializes in breast and body surgery and gender-affirming surgery. With more than ten years of experience, Dr. Shore is known within the profession for her technical surgical competence as well as her patient and compassionate approach to patient care.

Dr. Shore founded Lakeview Plastic Surgery in 2013, which is a boutique practice designed to provide the highest level of care in a warm, welcoming environment. A key focus area for Dr. Shore is developing trust with her patients, making sure that they feel seen, heard, and supported through the entire process from consultation to recovery. Dr. Shore’s focus area of care is on the individual as well as individual care based on the safety and comfort of individual patients, and providing natural-looking, transformative results.

Dr. Shore is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Aesthetic Society, and the Illinois Society of Plastic Surgeons. She earned her MD from Penn State College of Medicine, then completed both her combined plastic surgery residency at The Ohio State University Medical Center and the Zaccone Family Fellowship in Reconstructive Microsurgery at the University of Chicago Medical Center.

When she isn’t working, Dr. Shore lives in Chicago with her husband and two daughters, and two cats. She consistently enjoys Studio Ghibli movies, Taylor Swift music, and collecting colorful sneakers, all of which are a representation of her personality as fun and colorful.
