Biography

Dr. Bao L. Phan, MD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon who specializes in aesthetics and has many years of experience in both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. He practices in Richardson, Texas, and is well-known by his peers for performing aesthetic procedures with a focus on creating natural-looking outcomes through the use of state-of-the-art surgical techniques that are individualized to each patient.

As a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, he is dedicated to the field of plastic surgery. The academic journey that led Dr. Phan to become a board-certified plastic surgeon began with his graduation with honors (magna cum laude) from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, with a BS in Biology/Pre-Medicine.

In 1995, he received his Doctorate of Medicine (MD) from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. After graduation from medical school he completed an internship and residency in General Surgery at the University of Southern California/Los Angeles General Medical Center (USC/LA General) from 1995-1999; then he went on to complete an integrated residency in plastic surgery at USC/LA General from 1999-2002.
