About Atanu Biswas, MD

Dr. Atanu Biswas is a plastic surgeon who is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He trained as a plastic surgeon at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona, where he developed his skills in a variety of advanced procedures. He is also a member of many different professional organizations, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons.

Originally from Tennessee, Dr. Biswas received his MD from Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University. He completed his general surgery training at the University of Arizona, where he was also involved in a research fellowship regarding bioengineered skin. While working on this project, he obtained a Master’s Degree in Medical Sciences and discovered a deep-seated interest in the field of plastic surgery and reconstructive surgery.

Once he finished his fellowship training at the Mayo Clinic, Dr. Biswas was able to start his own plastic surgery practice in Phoenix, AZ, and has since been an adjunct faculty member of the Mayo Clinic. He has served on admissions committees for numerous medical/surgical residency programs. After spending almost two decades in Arizona, Dr. Biswas moved to Georgia and became part of Marietta Plastic Surgery, where he provides his services to patients from Atlanta, Marietta, and Woodstock. Dr. Biswas is interested in many aspects of aesthetic surgery and strives to be one of the leading plastic surgeons in his area.
