About Alex Senchenkov, MD, FACS

Dr. Alex Senchenkov, MD, FACS, is a board-certified surgeon with training in reconstructive microsurgery and head and neck surgery in both surgical oncology and advanced thyroid and parathyroid surgery. Dr. Senchenkov has an Adult Complex Thyroid/Parathyroid Surgery (ACTPS) Focused Practice Designation (FPD) designation from the American Board of Surgery for his exceptional training and experience in complex endocrine procedures, his successful passage of high-stakes examination, and his combined, well-respected professional standing.

Dr. Senchenkov offers a full range of surgical procedures and treatments in reconstructive breast surgery using microsurgical approaches, such as DIEP and muscle-sparing free TRAM flaps; head and neck reconstruction; adult craniofacial surgery; and microvascular limb salvage/reconstruction, as well as minimally invasive thyroidectomy and parathyroidectomies, and facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, along with more general cosmetic surgery.

Dr. Senchenkov is not only engaged in providing exceptional, patient-centered surgical care, but he is also involved in conducting outcomes research in microsurgery, oncologic reconstruction, and head and neck surgery-oncology in order to further surgical techniques themselves, as well as standards of patient care.

He serves patients at Manatee Memorial and Lakewood Ranch Hospitals, where he articulates surgical expertise alongside a genuine concern for safety, precision, and the best possible outcomes. Dr. Senchenkov maintains the level of trust in which patients place their complex reconstructive, oncologic, and aesthetic surgical procedures in him, due to his extensive education and postgraduate training, fellowship experience, and commitment to working collaboratively for the needs of multidisciplinary surgical procedures while considering function and quality of life for each patient.
