About Alan J. Durkin, MD

Dr. Alan Durkin has earned the distinction of being a double board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon. He is the founder of Ocean Drive Plastic Surgery in Florida, an elite facility recognized for elegance, privacy, and state-of-the-art care. His practice offers a full array of aesthetic services to his patients, including a medical spa, laser center, and makeup studio, while providing seamless continuity of care.

Dr. Durkin focuses his practice on a wide variety of facial and breast cosmetic surgery, including facelifts and brow lifts, rhinoplasty, facial fat grafting, breast augmentation, and complex breast revision. He also performs advanced body contouring with tummy tucks and mommy makeovers.

Dr. Durkin is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Miami. He earned his M.S. in Physics at the University of Chicago and received his M.D. from the University of South Florida. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at Florida State University and Nova Southeastern University, and is involved in numerous clinical trials and has published in the area of facial and breast aesthetics.

Dr. Durkin has been a presenter at the national and international levels and is an author of more than 25 peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Durkin has received numerous awards recognizing excellence and compassion, establishing him as one of Florida’s leading voices in aesthetic plastic surgery.
