Dr. Alfredo A. Paredes Jr., MD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon in Tallahassee, Florida, specializing in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. Born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras and raised in Dothan, Alabama, Dr. Paredes shone academically, graduating as valedictorian of his high school class and later accepted into Emory University on a merit scholarship. He earned his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine and excelled as a Woodruff Scholar, graduating Magna Cum Laude and becoming a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed residency training in plastic surgery at Emory University, where he gained extensive experience in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery techniques.
Dr. Paredes is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a fellow of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Jurkiewicz Society. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Florida State University College of Medicine and has written several articles and book chapters about plastic surgery education.
Dr. Paredes’ practice emphasizes breast augmentation, body contouring, facial cosmetic surgery, breast reconstruction, and breast health cancer care for high-risk patients. He also treats skin cancer and Mohs defects and performs advanced laser treatments.
