About Alexander Zuriarrain, MD, FACS

Alexander Zuriarrain, MD, FACS, frequently referred to as Dr. Z, is a plastic surgeon based in Miami with quadruple board-certification and one of the few surgeons with this designation in the entire country. A Miami native, Dr. Z has performed more than 8,000 surgical procedures in the realm of aesthetic surgery of the face and body. He specializes in a number of procedures, including but not limited to: facelifts, necklifts, eyelid surgery, breast augmentation and reduction, abdominoplasty, liposuction, body lift after massive weight loss, and gluteal augmentation using fat transfer.

Dr. Z’s educational journey began in Belen Jesuit Preparatory School, where he later received a prestigious Park Scholarship and attended North Carolina State University to obtain his Bachelor’s degree. Afterward, he won his medical degree at Ponce School of Medicine and developed fluency in taking care of patients in both English and Spanish. Dr. Z performed a 5-year residency in general surgery at the University of New Mexico and went on to additional training in plastic and reconstructive surgery and ultimately cosmetic surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Florida. Dr. Z is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery, American Board of Plastic Surgery, American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, and American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery.
