About Alan Babigian

Dr. Alan Babigian is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon certified by the board, has 20 years of experience treating patients in Connecticut and Massachusetts. Dr. Babigian, with a dedication to precision, compassion, and commitment to provide amazing, aesthetically pleasing results, is the Chief of Plastic Surgery at Hartford Hospital.

His practice encompasses a variety of procedures, including aesthetic facial surgery, body contouring, breast reconstruction, cosmetic surgery, skin cancer surgery, and surgery of the hand and upper extremities. He is also skilled in the treatment of congenital hand problems, reconstructive surgery for cancer, and reconstructive surgery that restores form and function.

Dr. Babigian received his medical doctorate from the University of Massachusetts Medical School, and then trained in residencies in general surgery and plastic surgery at the same medical school prior to completing advanced fellowship training in hand surgery in the Connecticut Combined Hand Surgery Program.

Dr. Babigian has earned widespread admiration from both fellow doctors and patients. He is a former president of the New England Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the Connecticut Society of Plastic Surgeons. He has been honored as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor (2008-2022) and as a Connecticut Magazine Top Doctor (2015-2022).
