About Andrew Kornstein, MD, FACS

Dr. Kornstein has over 25 Years of experience with using modern techniques and treating patients as individuals, making him an experienced and innovative surgeon. Dr. Kornstein trained at Weill Cornell School of Medicine and completed his plastic surgery residency program (CS) at Columbia University/St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center; he is an American College of Surgeons Fellow as well as an active member of ASAPS, AAPS, and the Rhinoplasty Society.

Dr. Kornstein’s early development in fat grafting (FC) began with training under Dr. Sydney Coleman, a Fat Grafting Pioneer. That experience produced Dr. Kornstein’s experience and expertise in the research and treatment of facial aging and rejuvenation, and formed the basis for his further development of Adipose (Fat) Cell Techniques. He authored the chapter “Using Fat Cells for Rejuvenation” in the Encyclopedia of Aesthetic Rejuvenation.

Beyond Surgery – Dr. Kornstein is currently a leader in non-surgical innovations. He was one of the earliest surgeons to begin applying radio frequency (RF) technologies in the United States to use for skin tightening, as well as the development of new applications for the Ultherapy Device, including the application after rhinoplasty and in cases of injected silicone. In addition to his publications in top peer-reviewed journals, Dr. Kornstein’s work has also been cited in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and other publications.
