About Anthony C. Griffin, MD

Dr. Anthony C. Griffin is a well-known plastic surgeon who specializes in working with African American and ethnic skin types. He has many patients from all backgrounds, but he enjoys working with them to enhance their natural beauty while still allowing them to maintain their Ethnic Identity. Dr. Griffin believes in maintaining the patient’s Ethnic Identity, and therefore, he promotes the use of culturally sensitive aesthetic practices.

As a pioneer in the field of scar minimization, Dr. Griffin has written a book called Surgery Without Scars: A Worry-Free, Multi-Cultural Guide to Plastic Surgery Today™. Additionally, Dr. Griffin trains other surgeons in safe techniques to execute ethnic cosmetic surgery. He has appeared on several television programs, including ABC’s Extreme Makeover, and has been featured in a variety of print media, such as Time Magazine, CNN, National Geographic, Essence Magazine, and the Discovery Health Channel, along with many other outlets. He also frequently serves as a plastic surgery expert via the media.

Dr. Griffin has developed several signature procedures, such as the Brazilian Butt Lift™, Six-Pack Tummy Tuck™, and No-Tell Nose Job™. He received his undergraduate education at Brown University and his medical degree at the University of Southern California. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a volunteer with Operation Smile, which provides life-altering reconstructive surgery to children around the world.
