About Anne Peled, MD

Based in the city of San Francisco, Dr. Anne Peled is a plastic surgeon who specializes in treating diseases and conditions affecting women’s breasts. She not only provides quality medical care but also helps her patients through the post-surgery period by encouraging them to go back to their daily activities in a healthier state than prior to surgery. As both a physician and a patient, Dr. Peled’s unique background as an educator, researcher, athlete, and mother allows her to provide empathy and individualized treatment to her patients. Furthermore, because of her experience with breast cancer, Dr. Peled has become especially committed to finding innovative ways to treat breast cancer surgically, reconstructively and aesthetically.

A native of Washington, D.C., Dr. Peled earned her undergraduate degree at Amherst College and attended medical school at Harvard University. After completing her residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery and a breast surgical oncology fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco, Dr. Peled has published numerous articles on the subject of improving surgical and reconstructive outcomes following breast cancer treatment.

Dr. Peled, along with her husband Dr. Ziv Peled, has developed an innovative combined mastectomy and reconstruction procedure that allows for preservation of the nipple, skin and sensation while providing support during recovery from surgery. Dr. Peled is dedicated to walking with patients throughout their entire healthcare journey from the point of diagnosis through the healing process while reassuring the patients that they are well-informed.
